Gaaahh! Busy and it's all my fault. Stupid wanting to sell everything on eBay. It's almost a better use of my life to just pack up all the stuff I'm getting rid of and toss into a bin at the Sal. Of course, I could just throw a big wad of cash in there as well.

Over the weekend I had a pretty good time. I went to see
The Mothman Prophecies with Ryan and Nathan, plus Kira and Nick were there too. I thought the movie was really good. It was pretty damn weird but it was much more interesting than I was expecting. I don't think I've ever really seen a Richard Gere movie before but I thought he was really good in the film, along with pretty much everyone else in it.

There was some really great cinematography too. Some of the stuff they shot almost had an independent film look to it or something. Some very strange sequences, and the intro titles were cool.

Saturday night, me and Charlotte sat around and watched
Monty Python and The Holy Grail on DVD, with Ryan joining us shortly thereafter. They did an amazing job of restoring the film. I couldn't believe how good the picture and sound was compared to the VHS I own. I'm being very selective about what DVDs I purchase and this one is on the top of my list. Not only does it look great and have some neat features, it's one of the funniest movies of all time.

After that, we started to watch
Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory but we had to stop it right after the rich, delicious, tempting, and beckoning opening sequence of mouth-watering chocolate so we could go to SuperStore and buy some chocolateness to accompany our movie watching experience.

I ended up feeling sick afterwards of course.

Tonight I was invited along with Nathan, Charlotte, Dave and Liz to the Maros' for supper which consisted of some of the best damn Greek pizza I've ever had. I don't even like olives and the pizza was still the best. Nick sure knows how to cook "peasant food" as he refers to it.

Kira added a few more words to the "Nicktionary" tonight and I'll be trying to get a copy of that for sure. Georgie and I played this drawing game where one person starts some type of narrative with the other person and then they take turns adding to it visually. All the scribbling and doodling was quite fun. I don't know if the game has a name or not but I haven't done that since elementary school. Quite fun, weird, and just a good way to pass the time.

It's been pretty slow at work this week so it's given me a chance to clean out my office and get rid of a bunch of junk littering the place. Not only that but it afforded me some time to write another "brainstorm" for our site. It deals with splash pages/Flash intros. If you care to read it, you can find it here.

Cleaning at work, cleaning at home. A neverending cycle is what it is. But when I clean I get in the "toss out the useless stuff" mood so it's good to help me get rid of more junk here at home. Thankfully, a lot of it is eBay-worthy, yet hardly anyone is biting for these auctions. It would be nice if items were guaranteed to sell or that you only pay a listing fee if the damn thing sells. With the initial posting fee plus the final value fee, it hardly makes selling things less than $5.00 worthwhile. Yay, for US exchange when selling, boo for it when buying.

Better than Argentine pesos, though.

I went to Nathan's gig last night at Baba's with MacPhee and Pat. It wasn't as crowded up front like it was last time but it was still pretty packed. I was able to actually watch the band the entire night and got some video of it too. Of course, I forgot to bring my camera to get some pictures for the web site.

It's storming, or at least it was last time I checked. I wouldn't have any complaints if the office was closed tomorrow. No complaints at all. A good day of sleep and laziness would probably ensue.

YUMCharlotte was here today for the first time since returning home from Vancouver yesterday and she brought with her a boxful of delicious goodness. She picked up a whole bunch of Pocky and Collon, something like 20 boxes. Look at it all!! It's so damn good. Raspberry Collon, Cream Collon, Chocolate Pocky, and Chocolate Coconut Pocky too! This stuff is so wafery and good. Addictive as hell. Oh my, yes. Thank you very much, Ms. C.

We went out for Chinese food at the Lotus Garden tonight in Kensington. It was pretty tasty. Won ton soup, egg rolls, curry chicken and a chocolate milkshake. I ate so much that I was in pain. I don't usually make myself that full, but it kind of happened by accident tonight. Though I liked everything, I think I'll pass on the curry chicken next time and try something else.

After that we rented
What Lies Beneath on DVD. Saw it in the theatre before and loved it. Saw it again tonight and loved it again. Some really great camera work, and some genuinely creepy scenes. If you haven't seen it, rent or buy it today on DVD and VHS.

Today's was my dad's birthday (as well as Ian's). I'll have to find him a gift this weekend before I go over for dinner on Sunday. Unfortunately, I used up all of my gift ideas on Xmas presents for him already. This may be tough...

I'm in the process of compiling and tabulating a list of all of my "stuff" as George Carlin would put it. I'm doing this for insurance purposes but it's not like I don't already have lists like this already. It's insane to see how much dough I've put into things like CDs and other collections and junk. Actually, it's pretty scary to break down each room and see what the cash value of my belongings are in particular sections of the house. Doing this also acts as an indicator of just how much of a "good consumer" I am, a pack rat, and a sentimentalist.

I'm glad I've started seriously going through my junk and weeding out everything from "not needed" to "completely useless" in order to make some sense of things. Then add eBay to the equation and it makes the process that much easier.

So here's the new layout for I.R. I've been meaning to do this for a couple of weeks but I've been meaning to do a lot of things. All that matters is that it's done, it's clean, it's simple, and it functions.

I guess my knee has pretty much fixed itself. It used to be quite painful to use the stairs, slightly bend down, and even walk. I'll have to go see
Lord of the Rings again and sit in from the aisle to give it the true test. If I don't break out in a cold sweat and be on the verge of passing out by the end of the movie then I have a feeling the ol' knee is back to normal.

I was just walking home for lunch yesterday when my foot slipped backwards a little on some ice, and then I felt this weird kind of pop in my knee. I prepared myself for what I expected to be an ungodly amount of pain but none came and it felt normal to walk again for the first time in many months. So now it's just a matter of seeing when I can manage to fuck my knee up again, or to see what else can go wrong with another part of my body.

I want oneApple announced the new iMacs yesterday and I'm just now containing my drooling. They look super slick and are chock full of techno-goodness. Flat screen, a G4 processor, 700 and 800Mhz speeds, and a lot more. Though, as much as I'd love to get one of those white, adjustable beauties, their lack of upgradability is what keeps my credit card in my wallet. I'd much rather have one of the fancy Quicksilver G4 towers.

I'd like to have a lot of things, namely the cash to buy a new Mac.
