My weekends have to stop being so useless. I wasted my entire day today watching TV and being a lazy slob. Once I get into the useless mode then it's pretty tough to get into a productive one. At least I went outside for a while because it was just too damn nice to be indoors all day.
Myself, Nathan and Mark went abandoned house hunting tonight in Kensington but ended up finding the creepiest place at Schurman's Point. Gutted and collapsing, I was not about to venture inside to see what might be remaining. Apparently there used to be a piano, a process camera, and a bunch of other neat stuff in there. Now it's just a big pile of wreckage.
I definitely need to get a digital camera so I can take it out to these places when we go. I could have nabbed a neat shot tonight for sure of what looked to be a bloody hand print on a refrigerator door.

If anyone is feeling particularly generous then I would really appreciate receiving the gadget featured to the right. I think the iPod would make the perfect gift for a certain someone's upcoming birthday, or as a very early Xmas gift, or even simply as a token of friendship. Boy, oh, boy. Would I ever like to have an iPod. Think of all the music and files I could store on that thing. Think about how happy I would be all the time knowing I had one of those. Gee, wouldn't that be nice? I would be an awfully cheerful person, swapping MP3s and files over FireWire to this handy, little and stylish device.
Oh, and a shiny new Dual 1-GHz QuickSilver G4 with a 23" Cinema HD Display and/or Titanium PowerBook would be most welcome too. I could always stand to accessorize my accessories.

One of the best things about kindergarten and elementary school were those scented markers. Blueberry, cherry, mint, strawberry, and even licorice. Man, those were sweet.

The past couple of weeks have been crazy at work. I've been working 11 hour days without breaks and putting in extra hours on weekends. I think I've more than made up for some extra vacation time I took at Xmas.
I haven't done a damn thing in two weeks. I'd just come home and was so zonked that all I wanted to do was veg out with some TV. Thankfully, it's starting to be a little less insane so I was actually home at a respectable hour tonight.
My luck today seemed especially good. Not long ago I was informed that my favourite pens were being discontinued so I bought as many as I could. Unfortunately, there weren't many, especially in black. I'm picky about my pens, ok? So anyway, Melanie at HMS called and said she found a whole box in the back room. Needless to say, I bought the whole box and they'll probably last me for a decade.
Then I went next door to get my lunch and on the way out I dropped a loonie into the vending machine to get a Wunderbar. When I reached in to get my bar, lo and behold! There was a peppermint Aero in the slot with it. Two bars for the price of one. Now I have breakfast for tomorrow.
