BUBBLES!Ok, Trailer Park Boys is the funniest show on TV right now. If they put this out on DVD it's going to get bought right away but I can't see this happening for a while yet. I have to see all of the episodes first but the fact that I don't get Showcase kind of makes that a little difficult.

Bubbles is honestly one of the best characters I've ever seen. He's the crown jewel of the show. But while he's funny it's good that there are so many other good characters too and the show works well with everyone.

I'm so tired right now I don't even know what the hell I'm writing…

A weekend of eating, sleeping, relaxing, and even more eating. Then toss in a family picnic today and you have even MORE eating.

I spent the last few days up at my grandparents' place and had a nice, quiet time which was exactly what I wanted. I got a little reading done and played some cards but mostly caught up on sleep and ate as many sweets as I possibly could.

I helped my grandfather take down the aerial for his old cable connection. It wasn't a huge job but it was an awkward one and I can't believe he had originally put the whole thing up by himself. The man is in his mid-80s and he's still building things, climbing on to his roof, and maintaining a full garden. This man does more work than I do and he's retired.

Holy depressing thought, Batman. It's the middle of July which means that the summer is pretty much half over. I've been pissing away my days at work and barely realize that days and weeks are passing by. Summer's almost gone…

I told Tyler I'd go videotape the baby right after he was born and it's probably over a month old now. Yet more weeks pass where I don't even touch my web site and now I'm pretty tempted just to give up altogether because I can never find the time or the will to jump into the work.

I just want my day job to stop being so damn insane and stressful so that I can be out of the office at a decent hour and actually take care of some of the shit piling up around me. Not only that but I need a fucking VACATION. I don't know if I can wait until September to go to Vancouver for a couple of weeks. I need to go now so I just should. But that won't happen.

It's been beautiful out, I just won a sweet Freakazoid auction, I'm listening to Glueleg yet I'm bitter as hell. Time to stop and smell the roses I think. And this weekend at my grandparents' place will be a good time to do just that.

Saturday night actually resulted in a finished project. Ian and myself have been meaning to work on an animation for a long time and we finally got one done. Mind you, 98% of the work was done by Ian.

So here is the Flash animation in all its glory (260K). Make sure you have your volume up because you don't want to miss out on the choice audio. And in case you're wondering, the music is by Marc Ribot.

Peach Good Yum Tea ColdToday I had a Snapple Peach Iced Tea for the first time in a long time. In the interim I've sampled many other kinds of iced teas and while some are very good, nothing beats Snapple. It has the best iced tea goodness of them all. I think I may go buy a whole bunch of bottles tomorrow. Maybe I can even pick up a case of them.

I remember having a closet full of cases of Snapple after I won a contest in high school. Oh, good times. Good times. Strange, though, because we actually talked about that on the way home from Charlottetown the other night. MacPhee mentioned how everyone would steal my Snapple but hardly anyone ever touched my peach iced tea.

Tonight there was a going away party for Charlotte at Luke's. It was pretty fun and there was lots of snacking-type foods, and then this brownie dessert thing that was gooood.

There was so much thunder and lightning all night during the rain storms. It went for a long time while we were at Luke's and before we left for the party I stood out on the porch and watched it all come down for probably a half hour. A tiny trickle along the curb turned into a river pretty damn quick.

Heat. Humidity. Feeling gross. No air conditioning at the office. No hope of getting any either. My fan only blows only midly cool air. Sweating is no fun.

I celebrated Canada Day by going to Spinnakers' Landing to see Nathan play then went to Charlottetown right after that see him play again but on the big stage this time. That didn't happen though. A bunch of us went to eat at Meeko's since we were under the impression it would be a while until he played. Little did we realize that no sooner had we left that he went on. So no pictures and no video. Suck.

Speaking of sucking, the CBC show was pretty lame. There were some good parts like the drum group and Rufus Wainwright, and the whole big stage, fireworks and such were cool but the pre-show absolutely sucked and I basically just stood in a crowd of thousands for hours having to deal with the slowly increasing pain in my feet and back.

At least it wasn't too hot and at least it didn't rain. And at least MacPhee did kill us all on the way home. Though, he came close but his "expert" driving skills saved him from smashing into the back of a car in bumper-to-bumper traffic.

And what's with the skanky 15-year olds? What is with the whore paint makeup and the slutty clothes? I'm not saying girls in summer clothes is a bad thing—far from it. But there's seasonal wardrobes and then there's prostitute-wear.

On top of the multitudes of Miss Teen Hussies, there were a lot of stupid people there. Why the hell does the crowd feel the need to applaud like simpletons when they start changing the lighting on stage? Do they not realize it's just testing? They were cheering techies running across the stage! How stupid can you be?! They'd probably cheer and woo a sound tech testing the mics.

Testing. 1…2…3. Testing.

Woo! Yay!

Idiots.
