The 22nd
Damn, it's been busy lately with the getting ready for Xmas and with the people being home. Not a whole lot of time to get things done AND to be lazy. But I did go to see The Return of the King opening night last Wednesday and it was awesome. The war scenes were harsh and intense, they did an amazing job with Shelob (a part of the trilogy I've been waiting for since the beginning), and the Witch King scene was ultra-cool.
I think it was probably my favourite installment but the first one has the best appeal to it, I think. I have to go see it again this week, maybe on Xmas Day or Boxing Day. Maybe twice.
Saturday, we had a Christmas Story party here with the 20th anniversary DVD. A dozen people showed up and it was probably the biggest gathering we've had yet. I think it has to be by far the best Xmas movie (not special or cartoon) there is and nothing about it ever gets old.
Ok, I can barely understand what I'm typing now. I'm going to bed and have stress dreams about work, Xmas shopping, and Tetris.
The 11th
Since Kira was in town yesterday we decided to throw her a surprise party at Tammy's. It went over pretty well and it was a good time. Most of the people who weren't able to make it to Charlottetown last Saturday were able to come so that was cool.
Tonight I was a lazy bastard as usual and didn't feel like doing much of anything. Nick, Kira and Georgie stopped by and we watched the new Primus DVD for a while. That thing is crammed full of goodness.
Now I'm going to bed.
The 8th
We got snow. Lots of it and I hate it. Too much snow and shitty weather and I still had to work today. I wasn't impressed. But I did get to play in it yesterday afternoon with the neighbourhood kids. That was pretty fun. Then we went next door and Nick made this awesome soup. Too much with the feeding me.
But the stupid snowor threat thereofon Saturday night prevented me from getting to Charlottetown for Kira's 18th birthday party. That was a drag. Me and Tammy were supposed to go there with James and Catherine but no one wanted to get caught in a blizzard which, of course, didn't hit until well after we would have been back in town anyway.
That really sucked. So Tammy came over and we ended up hanging out all night here doing not too much of anything.
TV is an evil I cannot divorce myself from.
